Our roots go back to 1880, when the Fishback family began providing banking services from the back of a general store in Brookings, South Dakota. That small beginning eventually grew into the bank we are today.

First Bank & Trust is part of Fishback Financial Corporation, one of South Dakota’s largest privately held banking organizations with more than $4.5 billion in assets. We serve 17 communities in Minnesota and South Dakota through 21 bank locations, as well as clients and organizations across the Midwest and nationally.
